About You
We’re looking for an experienced and proactive Desktop Support Engineer who thrives in a collaborative environment. We are looking for a Desktop Support Engineer to support the day to day IT and Enterprise tooling needs of our employees. Your primary role is to be an informative and supportive first point of contact (Level 1), responsible for assisting all our staff in making the best use of technology and tooling in their different roles. As part of this, you will be responsible for providing a level of IT service delivery that meets our agreed internal company SLAs.
In addition to first-line support, you will also provide Level 2 support, acting as part of a complete end-user solution. This includes managing escalations, resolving more complex technical issues, and coordinating with specialised teams when required to maintain operational efficiency and user satisfaction.
What you'll do
Provide computer systems troubleshooting and support to a corporate user base of approx. 160 users across multiple offices using Mac.
Respond to any IT related issues that may arise and work with external service providers and vendors where required, ensuring that SLAs are being met
Provide timely and consistent support, acknowledging and recording all issues and requests.
Handle network and desktop setup for new Employees/Visitors and office moves.
Assist with the migration to a suite of new enterprise tooling applications and services for cloud based solutions.
Assist with the implementation the short-term and long-term company IT and Enterprise tooling strategy and roadmap, aligned with the company's goals and priorities
Work closely with security teams to establish and enforce security standards, policies and procedures, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry best practices.
Remote management of users' equipment (laptops, mobile phones, etc.) ensuring machines have the latest security patches and comply with company policies.
Handle telephony / video conferencing services issues for current and new users.
Manage hardware inventory and purchasing requests.
Manage printers queues systems.
Creating documentation for corporate policies and processes and providing IT and Enterprise tooling training for all company employees.
Support backup and restore policy of users equipment.
Optimise and automate repetitive tasks.
Communicate effectively with senior stakeholders, customers and delivery teams on IT related matters
Minimum 2 – 3 years of proven experience in an IT Desktop support\Technical Support role.
Strong understanding of operating systems (Mac), and networking principles.
Good Understanding of Bash Scripting
Proven experience administering: MacOS and Google workspace
Assisting with the planning and migration to a suite of new enterprise tooling applications and services, which will be using a combination of both on-premise and cloud based solutions. We have several projects running in parallel, so it is essential to stay flexible and ready to support multiple initiatives and tasks simultaneously.
